About

Anna represents the interests of both foreign and Russian corporate and private clients in state courts, including the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, and arbitration courts (international commercial arbitrations).

Anna has experience in providing multifaceted support in the preparation of procedural documents in commercial disputes, including support for bankruptcy cases of individuals and legal entities, as well as experience in preparing legal opinions on Russian law, including for foreign jurisdictional bodies.

Experience

• representing a major telecommunications company in five precedent-setting court disputes related to compelling a Russian company to fulfill the obligations of a foreign Eurobond issuer. The basis of the claims was to enforce the “anti-sanctions” Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated 05.07.2022 N 430. This project was included in Kommersant's “Disputes of the Year 2023”
• defending a major European bank in a dispute with a Russian oil refining company over the prohibition to initiate litigation in a foreign jurisdiction due to non-fulfillment of obligations under a bank guarantee
• representing one of the largest automobile dealers in Russia in a dispute with the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation related to a violation of anti-corruption legislation
• representing a foreign shoe manufacturer in a dispute with one of the largest owners of commercial real estate in Moscow regarding termination of lease relations due to changes in the economic environment
• representing a foreign company in the bankruptcy of a major regional oil refinery
