About

Ekaterina specializes in a wide range of issues related to land as well as financial law and also has extensive knowledge of Russian urban planning regulations.

She has comprehensive experience in providing legal support for transactions involving residential property construction project finance in Russia, including: 

  • conducting legal due diligence on land plots under construction (investigating the developer’s title to the land plot as well as the presence of real estate objects owned by third parties and analyzing the land plot’s urban planning status based on the features of the planned construction)
  • structuring transactions taking risks already identified into account
  • coordinating the decisions of credit committee, loan security documentation, agreements for the sale and purchase of shares/stocks and land plots (under bridge loans)
  • analyzing the legal capacity of counterparties

Experience

  • supporting construction financing of residential complexes as part of the implementation of large-scale investment projects
  • supporting project financing for the integrated development of territory (including under previously existing mechanisms – IDT, ADBT, etc.)
  • supporting construction of individual housing construction projects within the boundaries of low-rise residential complexes and blocked-off buildings
  • supporting construction financing of residential buildings, hotel complexes, boarding houses/sanatoriums in Sochi, as well as other resort cities of federal importance
  • supporting project financing related to completing unfinished constructions
  • supporting project financing related to the acquisition of apartments for their major renovation and subsequent sale
  • supporting mezzanine financing
