Vladislav advises Russian and international clients on Intellectual Property, IT and Personal Data protection issues. He has assisted clients with Tech M&A deals, IP assets due diligence as well as provided representation in the course of IP disputes.
Vladislav has extensive experience in providing legal advice in areas of digital law such as artificial intelligence, landing law, big data, digital assets, and in supporting projects for the launch of innovative products and solutions.
As a certified Data Protection Officer, Vladislav's experience includes the implementation of projects related to the processing and protection of personal data, as well as data audits and the implementation of compliance measures.
Vladislav is a patent attorney in the spheres of trademarks and software.
Experience
- conducting due diligence for a major Russian IT company as well as preparing transaction documents for an IP asset deal; advising on personal data issues; advising on regulatory requirements
- structuring a software related project for an international platform for travelling, including providing assistance with a tech M&A deal and software registration
- performing a personal data audit for the international manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, as well as implementing compliance measures under local privacy laws and the GDPR
- assisting a Russian major bank in relation to a digital assets offering and agreements securing interest on digital assets
- assisting an IT holding for IP issues in the course of M&A transactions, including exit deals; advising on IP issues; assisting with the launch of a vehicle lease platform
- advising a US multinational technology company on the Russian regulatory framework for cloud services; advising on the IT-companies’ landing law; assisting with complaints from the prosecutor’s office

Since mid-2023, laws on personal data have been regularly amended to ensure the security of personal data.
On 8 August 2024, two laws regulating the procedure of issuing and circulating digital currency (“cryptocurrency”) were simultaneously adopted. The BIRCH LEGAL team prepared an overview of the provisions of these laws.
